NINO CUTRUFELLO
Advising private developers, municipalities, and mission-driven organizations on real estate, housing, and community development.
ABOUT
Practical insights on real estate, housing, and the built environment.
Nearly two decades as co-founder and Development Director of Callahan Ward Companies helped shape a career spanning real estate, finance, housing, and education. During that time, along with his partner, Nino delivered more than 500 housing units and completed over $150 million of development across Philadelphia. The firm's work received fourteen design awards, including three AIA National Housing Awards, and was featured in Architect Magazine, Dezeen, Architectural Record, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and on the cover of Architect's July 2019 issue. For Nino, work has never simply been about building. It has been about identifying value where others do not, solving complex development challenges, and creating places worth living in. A commitment to financial rigor, thoughtful design, and civic responsibility continues to inform that work today. That experience now informs advisory work for private developers, municipalities, and mission-driven organizations focused on real estate, housing, and community development. Particular areas of interest include development feasibility, project finance, project entitlements, housing policy, and the intersection of public and private investment. In addition to consulting work, Nino teaches graduate courses in Real Estate Finance, Valuation, and Urban Revitalization at Thomas Jefferson University, where he helps prepare the next generation of real estate professionals. Through both teaching and practice, he remains committed to advancing thoughtful, financially viable approaches to housing and community development.MS, Real Estate Finance — New York University
